This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use NexusSeal, including remote online notarization, identity verification, document execution, and related services.

We collect identity information (name, address, date of birth, government-issued ID), biometric and document images submitted for credential analysis, knowledge-based authentication (KBA) responses and results, audio/video recordings of notarial sessions, journal entries, payment information, device and connection metadata, and content you upload (such as documents to be notarized).

We use information to provide and improve the Platform, perform identity proofing, generate notarial records, comply with applicable law and notary public commissions, prevent fraud, communicate with you, and operate our business.

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and (for certain processing such as biometrics) explicit consent.

We share information with verification vendors (e.g., credential analysis and KBA providers), payment processors, jurisdictional regulators where required, our hosting and infrastructure providers, and counterparties to a notarial transaction (e.g., title companies, lenders) at your direction. We do not sell personal information.

Records are retained in accordance with our Data Retention Policy, which reflects state-specific notary recordkeeping requirements.

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards described in our Security Policy.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. EU/UK residents have rights under the GDPR. Submit requests via our contact page.

The Platform is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may process information in the United States. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

We will post any changes here and update the effective date. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or email.
