Notary Requirements

  • -Active Nevada notary commission.
  • -Registered as an Electronic Notary Public (eNotary).
  • -Approved RON technology provider.
  • -$10,000 surety bond.

Identity Verification

  • -Credential analysis of state/federal ID.
  • -Dynamic KBA, OR personal knowledge, OR credible witness.
  • -Live two-way audio-video communication.

KBA Requirements

  • -5 questions, >=80% correct, <=2 minutes.
  • -Re-attempt limited to 1 additional attempt within 24 hours.

Recording Requirements

  • -Audio-video recording required for all RON acts.
  • -Recording must capture identity verification and the act itself.

Journal Requirements

  • -Electronic journal with date, time, type of act, document description, signer info, and verification method.

Retention Requirements

  • -Recordings and electronic journal: minimum 7 years.
