1. Regulatory Framework
NexusSeal operates within the framework of (a) state notary public statutes and rules in jurisdictions where our customers’ notaries are commissioned, (b) federal laws including ESIGN and applicable consumer protection statutes, and (c) industry standards including the MISMO Remote Online Notarization standard.
2. Multi-State RON
The Platform enforces the rules of the notary’s commissioning state for each session, including identity proofing methods, recording and retention durations, and journal content. See the Compliance Center for state-by-state detail.
3. Privacy & Data Protection
We support GDPR and CCPA/CPRA rights where applicable. See our Privacy Policy.
4. AML / KYC Integrations
For customers requiring enhanced due diligence (e.g., title and lending), the Platform integrates with KYC vendors. Customers remain responsible for their own AML/KYC program obligations.
5. Audit & Recordkeeping
The Platform produces tamper-evident audit trails for notarial sessions, identity verification, and document execution.
6. Roadmap
Planned roadmap items include SOC 2 attestation, additional state coverage, expanded multi-state RON support, and additional KYC/AML integrations.
